30 Simple Home Remedies to Get a Spot Free Face
The secret to a beautiful skin lies in your kitchen. Nothing can give you flawless skin as a healthy diet can. But if you have to use any beauty product then going natural is the best way to go.
All the recipes that I have discussed here are the simplest recipes and contain maximum 3-4 ingredients. You can find all of these ingredients easily lying in your kitchen.
Acne and pimples often leave scars and dark spots on your face, your skin may also get discoloured due to several other reasons. All the ingredients used in the different recipe lighten blemishes and reduce spot marks naturally.
Cucumber Face Mask
Ingredients
1 slice of cucumber
1 cup oatmeal
1 tbsp yogurt
Directions
Crush the cucumber and add a cup of oatmeal and 1 tbsp yogurt. Now apply this mixture on your face for 30 minutes and then rinse with cold water.
Use this mask once a day and 3 times a week.
Honey Mask

Honey
Directions
Wash your face with cold water to open the pores. Apply honey evenly on your face and keep for 30 minutes. Wash with warm water and again wash with cold water.
This mask can be applied once a day and twice a week.
Oatmeal Mask
Ingredients
2 tbsp oatmeal
1 tbsp baking soda
Little water
Directions
Take the oatmeal and baking soda in a bowl and add enough water to make a paste. Apply the paste evenly for 10 minutes. Then wash off with warm water. Apply once a day and once a week.

Lemon and Egg Face Mask
Ingredients
½ lemon
1 egg white
Directions
Squeeze the ½ lemon and mix it with 1 beaten egg white. Apply the mask over your face keeping it away from eyes and mouth. Let it stay overnight and wash off in the morning. Use once a day and once a week.
Turmeric Mask
Ingredients
½ cup gram flour
2 tbsp turmeric powder
2 tbsp sandalwood powder
2 tbsp almond or clarified butter ( ghee)
Little water
Directions
Add all the ingredients together and add enough water to form a paste. Apply the mask and leave it for 30 minutes. Wash off with warm water.
Apply once a day and twice a week.
Aloe Vera
Ingredients
Aloe Vera leaf
Directions
Cut the leaf in half and extract the gel. Apply this three times a day on your face. Keep it for 20 minutes and wash with warm water.
Baking Soda Mask
Ingredients
1 tbsp baking soda
3 tbsp coconut oil
Directions
Mix the two ingredients. Apply for five minutes and wash with warm water. This can be applied once a day and three times a week.
Olive Oil Mask
Ingredients
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp honey
1 tbsp turmeric
Directions
Mix the ingredients and apply for an hour. Wash with warm water. This can be done once a day and twice a week.
Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple cider vinegar

Apply apple cider vinegar for 5 minutes and wash with warm water. This can be done twice a day every day.
Chamomile
Ingredients
2 tbsp coconut oil
3 drops chamomile

Mix the two ingredients and apply for 5 minutes. Wash it off with cold water. This can be done twice a day every day.

Neem
Ingredients
A handful of neem leaves
Directions
Take a handful of neem leaves and simmer in warm water for 15-20 minutes. Strain the solution, dip cotton in the solution and apply. Keep it for 5 minutes and wash off with cold water. This can be done once a day every day.
Milk and Honey Mask
Ingredients
2 tbsp milk
1 tbsp honey
1 tbsp gram flour

Mix all the ingredients and apply for 20 minutes. Wash it off with warm water. This can be done once a day and once a week.
Papaya Mask
Ingredients
½ ripe papaya
1 tbsp sandalwood powder
1 tbsp honey
Directions
Chop the half papaya and mash it to make a paste. Add sandalwood powder and honey. Apply on your face for 30 minutes and then wash with cold water. Use once a day and once a week.
Walnut Mask
Ingredients
2 tbsp walnut powder
2 tbsp yogurt
Directions
Mix the two ingredients and apply on your face. Keep it till the mask dries. Scrub it off and wash with warm water. Apply once a day and once a week.
Walnut and Rose Mask
Ingredients
3 walnuts
1 tbsp rose water
Directions
Put the walnuts in warm water and leave overnight. Blend the walnuts the next day and add rose water to form a paste. Apply it and leave for an hour. Wash off with warm water. Apply once a day and once a week.
Coconut Oil
Ingredients
Warm coconut oil
Directions
Heat the oil and warm it up a bit. Apply it to your face and leave for 10 minutes. Wash with warm water. You can repeat this once a day every day.
Mint Mask
Ingredients
1 tbsp mint powder
1 tbsp yogurt
1 tbsp fuller’s earth / Multani Mitti

If you don’t have mint powder, simmer mint leaves in water and use the extract. Mix all the three ingredients and set aside for 30 minutes. Apply to your face and wait till it dries. Wash it off with warm water. Repeat once a day and once a week.
Lemon and Sugar Mask
Ingredients
1 lemon
1 tbsp sugar
2 cucumber slices
Directions
Squeeze the lemon and add sugar to the juice. Apply this on your face ( keep away from eyes and mouth) and massage your face in circular motion for 10 minutes. Wash your face with warm water and then rub cucumber slices on your face to moisturize. Repeat this once a day every day.
Potato and Honey Mask
Ingredients
1 potato
1 tbsp honey
Directions
Peel potato and finely grate it. Add honey to the grated potato. Apply on face for 15 minutes and wash with warm water. Repeat once a day thrice a week.
Potato and Turmeric Mask
Ingredients
1 potato
¼ lemon
Pinch of turmeric
Directions
Cut the potato into small pieces and extract juice from it. Strain the juice and add lemon juice and a pinch of turmeric. Apply on face and leave for 20 minutes. Wash off with warm water. Repeat once a day and thrice a week.
Buttermilk and Tomato Mask
Ingredients
4 tbsp buttermilk
2 tbsp fresh tomato juice

Mix the ingredients and apply for 15 minutes. Wash with warm water. Repeat once a day and twice a week.
Sandalwood Mask
Ingredients
1 tbsp sandalwood powder
1 tbsp glycerin
3 tbsp rose water/ milk/ honey

Mix the ingredients together and apply for 5 minutes. Wash with warm water. Apply once a day every day.
Fuller’s Earth and Green Tea Mask
Ingredients
1 tbsp rose water
1 tbsp green tea
2 tbsp fuller’s earth/ Multani Mitti
Directions
Mix all the ingredients ( brew green tea and then add the extract). Apply for 15-20 minutes and wash with cold water.
Fuller’s Earth and Tomato Mask
Ingredients
1 tbsp tomato juice
1 tbsp sandalwood powder
2 tbsp of fuller’s earth
Directions
Mix all the ingredients and apply for 20 minutes. Wash with warm water. Repeat once a day twice a week.
Almond Oil
Ingredients
Almond oil
Directions
Apply a few drops of almond oil on face and massage for 5 minutes in a circular motion. Repeat this every night before going to bed.
Strawberry Mask
Ingredients
2-3 strawberries
1 tbsp oatmeal
2 tbsp yogurt or honey
Directions
Mash the strawberries and mix with the other ingredients. Rub the mixture on your face and leave for 15 minutes. Wipe it off with a warm washcloth. Repeat this once a day twice a week.
Orange Mask
Ingredients
2 tbsp dried orange peel powder
1 tbsp honey
1 tbsp yogurt
Directions
Mix all the three and apply for 15 minutes. Wash your face with warm water. Repeat once a day three times a week.
Banana
Ingredients
Banana peel
Directions
Rub the inside of a ripe banana peel on your face for 10 minutes. Do not wash your face afterward. You can repeat this three times a day every day.
Tea Tree Oil
Ingredients
3-4 drops tea tree oil
1 tbsp coconut oil
Directions
Mix the two and apply on scars or spots. Leave for 1-2 hour or leave overnight. Rinse it in the morning with warm water. Use daily once a day.
Coconut Water
Ingredients
Coconut water
Cotton
Directions
Dab the coconut water on your face using cotton pads. Leave it for 10 minutes and wash with warm water. Repeat this once a day every day.
Try any mask for which you have the ingredients available. For best results keep on applying the masks as directed till you see improvement. These masks will not have any side-effect, unlike the packaged ones but make sure you are not allergic to any ingredient being used.
